Jeremy Carr as Senior Partner at Carr Buchan & Company, specializes in the areas of Criminal Law and Personal Injury. His practice covers all of Vancouver Island.

Background
After receiving his Undergraduate Degree in Political Science from the University of Alberta, Jeremy Carr attended the University of Victoria Law School, graduating in 1983. Jeremy is now Senior Partner at Carr Buchan & Company and has been practicing law in Esquimalt for over 25 years. Jeremy speaks annually as a guest lecturer at a number of schools in the area of Criminal Law and is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Victoria Law School for the Professional Legal Training Course.
Jeremy has been on the Board of the Victoria Integration Society for over 15 years and presently is sitting as President. He also sits on the Board of the Disabled Sailing Association.
Jeremy can be found in his spare time on the waters around Vancouver Island where he enjoys sailing.
Crystal I. Buchan, Partner
Practice
Crystal’s main area of practice is in all areas of Family Law, including separation and divorce, child custody and access, adoption and child apprehension.
Background
Crystal has practiced with this firm in the area of Family Law since her call to the Bar in 1992. She has been a sessional lecturer in family law at the University of Victoria Law School, is accredited by the Law Society of British Columbia as a Family Law Mediator, and is an active member of the Victoria Collaborative Family Law Group.
Crystal has been a member of the Board of Separation and Divorce Resource Centre and/or a volunteer since 1993.

Practice
Julie practices in all areas of Family Law. Her Family Law practice includes divorce,
child and spousal maintenance, division of property, and custody and access. She also works passionately and holistically for parents in the field of Child Apprehension.
Background
Julie was called to the Bar in 2001 after graduating from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law. Before joining Carr Buchan in 2006, she practiced personal injury, family law and general civil litigation. Prior to attending law school, Julie developed a wide and varied
background in business and community service through volunteering. She currently practices in both Victoria and Duncan.
Jonathan P. Arnold, Associate

In 2008 Mr. Arnold left the government to open his own boutique criminal defence practice. Most recently Mr. Arnold is pleased to have joined Carr Buchan & Company where in addition to continuing to practice criminal law he will also be practicing in all areas of family law.
Background
Jonathan P. Arnold Esq. BA LLB is a graduate of the University of Victoria Faculty of Law and has an undergraduate degree from Queen's University in Kingston. Mr. Arnold articled in Victoria, British Columbia where he conducted municipal prosecutions throughout the province of B.C. After finishing his articles and passing the bar exam, Mr. Arnold was hired to work as a Crown Counsel for the Ministry of Attorney General in Region One. While at the Attorney General's office, he was put in charge of prosecuting criminal and quasi-criminal matters.
Mr. Arnold is a member in good standing and proud to be affiliated with the following organizations and institutions; the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Victoria Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the American Society of Legal Historians and the Union Club. He has also been profiled both locally and nationally with articles appearing the Times Colonist, the Law Times and The National as well as being asked to speak at the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law.
Aurora M. Beraldin, Associate
 Practice
Aurora practices in the areas of criminal defense, immigration, wills and estates, and specializes in appeals. Aurora works in Victoria, Duncan, and Nanaimo, and has successfully represented her clients in the B.C. Provincial Court, the B.C. Supreme Court, and the B.C. Court of Appeal.
Background
Aurora earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2003, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Victoria in 2009. During law school, Aurora completed the co-op program and the International Intellectual Property Program at St. Peter's College in Oxford, England. Prior to joining Carr Buchan and Company, Aurora worked at Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and at the Ministry of Attorney General. Aurora completed her articles with Carr Buchan and Company and joined the firm as an associate in 2010. Outside of work, Aurora is an avid hockey player and enjoys reading, writing, and travelling.
